The adventure begins….

Tom and I had the illusion of buying a motorhome and spend a while traveling, but we did not think our dream would have come true so soon! The point is that our first conversation on the subject arose naturally and we soon found ourselves surfing websites for motorhomes. It didn’t take long to find what is now our home so we decided not to miss the opportunity and start our adventure immediately. You know what they say “do not put off until tomorrow what you can do today”.

We left our flat in Sant Celoni on September 15th 2017 and, since then, we have been living in our home on wheels. Like snails, moving slowly and with everything in tow (house, office and dog included) we started our adventure in Spain.

Císter route in Tarragona province (Catalonia)

During this time we passed through Valencia, Múrcia, Almería, Granada, Málaga, Cádiz, Sevilla, Córdoba, Madrid, Teruel and, of course, Catalonia (where we started). A wonderful trip to discover some of the amazing corners of the peninsula… Here you have some of Tom’s pictures.

Paco, the friendly shepherd that we met in Salobreña (Granada)

Interesting conversation with a retired fisherman in Cabo de Gata (Almería)

One of our favourite villages, Vejer de la Frontera (Cádiz)

Today, 16th January 2018, we’ve arrived in France. We are staying on a farm in Trouillas (close to Perpignan) with beautiful views of the snowy Pyrenees mountains. So far, we are going towards Italy, although we are continuously changing our minds about the direction we are taking. This is part of the joy of traveling this way, the total freedom that allows you to do what you feel like doing at every moment. We’ll keep you updated.

À bientôt
